NPC (National Privacy Commission) reaffirms WeFund Lending Corporation “JuanHand” as a trusted loan app in the Philippines.
JuanHand, a leading fintech player providing instant financial access to all Filipinos, has recently been allowed by the NPC to process borrowers’ personal information. Simply put, JuanHand has been reaffirmed as an OLP that protects and safeguards the confidentiality of clients’ information. This is validated by NPC Resolution NPC SS 21-006 released on January 2022.
As of this writing, JuanHand is the FIRST AND ONLY OLP to have its temporary ban lifted and can now again process personal data. JuanHand was found to have rectified all potential privacy concerns raised by NPC last August of 2021. This is a very important milestone that only proves further why JuanHand is one of the most trusted fintech firms in country having millions of downloads and growing rapidly each day. JuanHand is also working closely with the NPC to help shut down abusive and unethical OLPs to ensure that the Fintech industry continues to be professional and deserving of the trust given by all users.
JuanHand is operated by WeFund Lending Corp. with Company Registration No. CS201825672 and Certificate of Authority No. 2844. It is also compliant by regulatory partners such as the Anti-Money Laundering Council and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
WeFund Lending Corp. started in June 2019 in the Philippines as a subsidiary of FinVolution Group, one of the leading FinTech Companies in Asia and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: Ticker FINV).
The exponential growth of JuanHand is also made possible by equally reputable and trusted partners such as UnionBank, Lazada, Sun Life Grepa, SkyPay, Multysis along with data partners FinScore, Trusting Social, CIBI Information Inc., and Credit Information Corporation.
